Springing into Learning Blog Hop

Spring is here! Well, maybe not yet officially.The weather has been beautiful the last few days. Say good-bye to winter, hooray! Today, we are Springing into Learning. This is a blog hop hosted by Elementary Antics, together with 40 other bloggers we are sharing ideas and freebies for spring. With Easter right around the corner, our first spring time animal are rabbits. Some of you may have rabbits as classroom pets or you hear of students finding rabbit holes with little bunnies. Once you find it, the mother rabbit usually moves the babies so it's best to leave them be. I have created a free product about rabbits, you can download it from my Teachers Pay Teacher's store. Included is an interactive notebook asking students to write what they have learned about rabbits. It includes a rabbit reading passage, and project for your bulletin board, its a flip flap writing activity with a blank cover, it can go along with any story or writing prompt you choose.

Being outside, hanging out at the beach or having a barbecue while the kids are in the pool are things we do a lot in the summer. All the electronics go off and its family time. If you have little ones at one you can relate to the Xbox, Wii, tablets, laptops etc. etc. Turn it all off! Grab some bubbles, water balloons, and play outside. I am not much of beach girl but my kids love it. They play in the sand and water all day. We pack a cooler and spend the day relaxing. Those days my phone turns off too so its just us. I love it that way.

My oldest is turning T-E-N on May 27th. Where did all those years ago! He is excited. Me, well I am turning 3-0 the first of June. Not so excited. Haha But I love celebrating birthdays, ice cream cakes are awesome right?

We added two more swimmers to the big pool, they can reach the bottom fine and love being like the BIG KIDS. No more kiddie pools at this house! Swimming lessons for them this summer, they are eager to learn. They splash around till they get wrinkles. Big on safety folks, remember to always take the ladder out when no one is in the pool even if you are coming right back. Put it far enough away where they can't carry it to put it in the pool. It only takes moments for accidents to happen. These little guys know the rules. We spend a lot of time in the pool. I created a poster and cute cards for them. Halloween Bash with The Teaching 2 Step

Cute apple mouths with teeth are an easy snack to make. Use your apple core cutter, to make a hole in the center stuff with peanut butter and marshmallows. It is a gooey yet healthy snack for kids.

Have outdoor fun with a Halloween golf set. To create these draw some of your favorite Halloween favorites, paint them. Then make the holes using power tools. I drew them onto sheetrock we had left over from a home project. My little ones painted them in. This game we can use over and over again as it is easy to storage.
